Ok, so this is just a short story I started a few days ago... Here's the first part of it. Tell me what you guys think about it :]
[PART ONE] Kitty stared out of the cellar window of the abandoned home she’d found to house herself in. The sun was slowly setting on the horizon. It would soon be time for her to roam the streets in darkness and nourish herself in warm human blood. She had been a vampire from birth, so a life of coming out at night to feed was all she knew. Although the life of a vampire in Manova City wasn’t an easy one…Vampires had been a problem showing up all over the city for quite some time now. But Kitty and her friends, Misa, Mila, and Kyle, had soon found a way to avoid the police. And now that the night had come, Kitty and her friends were ready for another night on the town. The sun had set and the moon had risen. Kitty giggled and said to herself, “Time to go meet up with the guys.” She slowly and cautiously opened the cellar doors. As she stepped out of the cellar she spotted a human male walking towards her. Kitty was a fairly attractive young vampire, and even though most of them had very pale skin, bloodshot eyes, and blood veins popped up all over their bodies, Kitty’s mother was human and so she had a very human appearance to her. She saw this as an advantage, and at the moment, an opportunity to feed. The male soon noticed her standing in the dark and walked over in her direction. He was pretty attractive for a human in Kitty’s opinion, but she knew it was time for feeding and not flirting. “Hi there,” he said when he’d approached her. She smiled, “Hi.” The young man returned her smile and Kitty began to gaze at him with her gorgeous green eyes. “Kind of late for a pretty girl like you to be out alone, don’t you think?” Kitty clasped her hands behind her back. “Oh? Why do you say that?” The male looked at her questioning why she would ask that if she were a local. “Haven’t you heard about the vampire problem in Manova? You must not be a local…” Kitty interrupted him, “Oh I am! I’m just busy most of the time and I don’t get to involved in town gossip.” The male nodded and inched a bit closer. “Well are you busy tonight?” She smiled, “Depends, what are you doing tonight?” He winked at her and grabbed her hip. “Why don’t we go back to my apartment and find out? Oh, and by the way, I didn’t get your name. Mine’s Duke, what’s yours?” Kitty also inched in closer to him, “I’m Kitty. It’s nice to meet you, Duke. And I think I’d like that.” They smiled at each other and then began to walk down the sidewalk together to Duke’s apartment. “Kitty!” someone harshly whispered to her. She recognized the voice almost immediately. It was Mila. Then she noticed Misa, Kyle, and Mila sitting in the dark waiting for her. Kitty released her grip on Duke’s arm and made up a much-regretted excuse, “Oh crap! I almost forgot! I have to be at work in like 30min.! I’m so sorry, Duke. We’ll have to do this another time…” Duke frowned, “Hmmm… How about tomorrow night around 7:30? Meet me at… Say, that ice cream parlor on Maller St.?” Kitty glanced back at her friends. “That sounds great,” she smiled. “Ok then, I’ll see you then, Kitty,” Duke returned her smile and continued to walk home. The disappointed Kitty sighed and turned to walk down the alley where her three friends were. “Hi guys,” Kitty greeted them. Her friends teased her about Duke, but she didn’t care. She knew she’d blown off a good chance to feed that night, but it was worth it to Kitty. She couldn’t wait to see Duke tomorrow night. -------------------- I
